"She Hides Behind Her Smile" is a confrontational short film asking about the reality of "free will" vs. "destiny." While a voice reads a classic primer on Evolutionary Psychology, a young woman embodies Eros and Thanatos, using in loops, two of the most challenging (and most censored) sentences in the English language: "Fuck you," for destruction; and "Fuck me," for attraction.

 

Do we have the power to choose what we're attracted to; or what repulses us? According to Evolutionary Psychology, the answer is, no. Life, as we know it, hides behind her smile.
